What is Hot Breathing?

Hot Breathing cycles isometric muscles contraction with aerobic training. Hot Breathing is done sitting on a chair and you breathe synchronous with maximal activation of all the muscles of the body. Hot Breathing balances demand of oxygen by the active muscles with increase in supply of high-oxygenated blood by the new breathing technique.

More oxygenated and active muscles burn more calories and keep them healthy and make you and your joints fit.

Any Lifestyle Changes Needed?

What lifestyle is necessary for good health and fitness?

  1. Dr. Das’s 5 requirements for a fit and Healthy body according to priority are as below:

    1. Breathing— effective deep breathing to increase the blood oxygenation and builds muscles tone and joints mobility
    2. Water— Keep body fully hydrated. If you wait till thirsty, you are already dehydrated
    3. Stress Reliever—Sleep, Social interaction, Meditation, Prayer, Music etc. Whatever works for you?
    4. Exercise - Breathe, walk, move, or just smile or make faces.

Will I lose weight?

Will I Lose Weight?

YES, you will lose weight by Hot Breathing and providing nutrients to your body. This is not a diet program. You do not feel hungry in this program. Our focus in training class is fitness, tone and mobility. To burn fat you need to breathe in lots of oxygen. Therefore, good breathing is a better fat burner.

How do you lose extra weight?

There are only 3 ways you can lose extra weight:

  1. Reduce your Calories intake (dieting)
  2. Burn extra Calories by increasing your metabolism (without increasing Calories intake). Hot Breathing will help.
  3. Do more exercise than you are doing (without increasing Calories intake)? Hot Breathing is an exercise burning calorie,

To burn 1 pound of fat you need to breathe in about 3 pound of Oxygen (about 1000 liters) and breathe out about 1 pounds of CO2 (over 200 liters of CO2, plus a small amount of water)? Predominantly you lose weight by breathing out CO2. To burn fat you need to breathe in lots of oxygen. Therefore, good breathing is a better fat burner.

How Hot Breathing Was Invented?

About inventor of Hot Breathing and his experience:

Dr. Das, the inventor of Hot Breathing is a PhD in Physics. Due to an accident 15 years ago, he lost his spleen, which left his belly fully numbed from the cut. Belly muscles were paralyzed for 15 years. Every day in hike he used a breathing technique engaging his abdominal muscles. After few years he realized his abdominal muscles sensation started coming back. After few years of practice and improvement In the technique his belly became as sensitive as before.

He realized that it not only made belly muscles sensitive again, but he lost belly fat and started becoming fitter. He collected several data on himself and shared with MD doctors. They were surprised. Doctors suggested to try on other if that works. Then he experimented on others and they realized similar benefits. Then he started teaching the technique to others.

In August 2012 he fell down from hiking in Mt. Whitney. Rescuers found him in coma after 2 days and he was in coma in hospitals for 3 weeks. He claims he survived and recovered fully because he practiced and taught Hot Breathing.

Following picture shows him in a body bag brought by the rescue helicopter to the hospital.

He was in a comma long period of time. After he recovered from comma, his body was wasted and amputations and ligament grafting were a few options left. Dr. Das used Hot Breathing technique to recover himself to full functioning healthy and fit being.

Dr. Das has shared his techniques with many others with great success. If doctors have told you that you are too old to fix your joints, posture, weight, diabetes, and blood pressure and have no choice except to take medications with side effects, or do surgery or replacement of knees, shoulders, hips, come and give Hot Breathing a try. Others have tried and benefitted.

Hot Breathing is combination of isometric exercises, synchronized breathing and body movements while sitting on your chair!

Hot Breathing is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), but participants can pace at their own ability, may that be 90 years old, 90 pounds overweight or even a competitive athlete. Participants burn 500 to 1000 calories in one hour with benefits to muscle tone, lungs and heart health and many important health matrices.

Hot Breathing cycles isometric muscles contraction with aerobic training in interval training manner. Isometric weight training is necessary for muscle and bone growth. Advanced Hot Breathing participants use extra weights along with muscle against muscle contraction.

How Hot Breathing compares with other workouts and Yoga?

What Age Group Can Attend Classes and Get Benefited

It is good for any age groups, including teenagers. But Dr. Das has been teaching presently Hot Breathing exercises to anyone age 18 above. Oxygenation is fundamental to body well-being and survival. Up to 90 years of age have attended the hot breathing classes with many challenges and have benefited.  Even the athletes, mountain climbers, runners can improve their performance. Of course, everyone can increase their fitness, muscle tone, flexibility of joints, BMI and Waist to Height ratio and decrease fat, weight and stress.

The exercises are designed to do at your own pace and health challenges you face and benefits you want to achieve. Best benefits come pushing yourself to your own limit but not beyond it and increase it slowly. Be mindful of your body and signals it gives you.

What is HOT Breathing? Is it snake oil or scientific?

Hot Breathing is based completely on medical science. It is doing aerobic and isometric exercises with synchronized deep breathing while sitting on your chair. It has a combined effect of high intensity training, aerobics, running, weight lifting, push-ups and swimming without impacting your joints.

It is all based on science of oxygenation of muscles resulting in expelling CO2 resulting in weight loss, increase in fitness and tone, muscles mass, mobility of joints and alertness and sound sleep.

Dr. Das is a PhD in physics and self-taught textbooks of Medicine that MD students go through. He combined Physics of body mechanics with Physiology. He believes in evidence based results consistence with medical and other sciences.  He wants to share it with others which has been proven in all his participants.
